The new movie City of Lies is based on the novel of the same name by journalist Randall Sullivan. Johnny Depp stars as LAPD Detective Russell Poole who spent years trying to crack the case of who murdered Christopher Wallace, A.K.A. Notorious B.I.G. 
Poole teams up with a reporter, played by Forest Whitaker, to not only solve the mystery behind Biggie’s death, but also to figure out why it never got solved in the first place.
