Robert De Niro took the stage at Radio City Music Hall for the 72nd annual Tony Awards Sunday night, but CBS completely bleeped out his first words.
“F— Trump,” he said, referring to President Donald Trump.
De Niro threw his arms in the air defiantly as the crowd cheered and gave him a standing ovation.
“It’s no longer down with Trump,” he said. “It’s f— Trump.”
Robert DeNiro needs a new schtick. Seriously, he’s starting to look like he has dementia.
First the tough guy mob boss act he’s been playing off camera for years, now add bringing up Trump in every interview and public appearance to his resume. It’s almost laughable how redundant he has become.
We get it, you hate Trump. But you’re preaching to the choir when you yell it to a crowd full of actors. It looks like a cheap and lazy way to get applause. He’s like your elderly grandpa that keeps raising his fist and yelling about the kids running across his lawn. Someone should stop him from ruining his legacy as one of the great American actors turned into raging old repetitive fool.
And I guess everyone forgot about the time he was arrested in France for his involvement with a prostitution ring. It was so serious, he was let go from reading the audio version of Pope John II’s poetry book because they didn’t want his name attached to it after what came out. Guess the MeToo Time’s Up crowd’s memory needs to be refreshed.
And forget the countless stories(alleged)of hookers, cocaine and violent rages from Mr. Raging Bull.
Dude used to pick up young girls at Orlando airport and take them back to New York where he’d set them up. “Allegedly”
But Never mind all that cos F Trump!
(Wild applause)
Hollywood can be so full of it.
