Heather Locklear was hospitalized for a psych evaluation after a family member claimed the star had threatened to kill herself, TMZ reports.
According to the 911 dispatch call, which was obtained by the website, the family member called and said Locklear, 56, was trying to hurt herself and “looking for a gun to shoot herself.” It was also noted that the actress did not have access to a weapon.
A representative for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six they responded to a call on the 4900 block of Summit View Drive, where Locklear owns a home, around 3:50 p.m. Sunday. Although they could not confirm Locklear’s name, we’re told someone was transported to the hospital and that no crime had been committed.
This is not the first time Heather has had trouble this year.
In February, Locklear was arrested for domestic violence during a fight with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. The Daily Mail reported at the time that Locklear punched two police officers. She was charged with a felony count of domestic violence and three counts of misdemeanor battery on a peace officer. The charges were dropped in March.
Heather Locklear is one of my all time favorites. She’s on my Glamour Inspirations page. We follow each other on social media and she is a sweet, good person. I don’t know what is troubling Heather personally, but this breaks my heart that she would think she has nothing to stay on the planet for.
