I don’t know if I need to up my calcium dose, my biotin dose or just stop being in the water so much. Whatever it is I’m doing, I break at least 3 nails a month.
They don’t fully break, but split on the side and I do all kinds of MacGyver tricks to keep my real nail from splitting completely, like nail glue, the tea bag method, filing a different shape, nothing really works.
So I bit the bullet and bought a box of KISS fake nails to try for a while so I don’t have to keep dealing with uneven nails. Don’t you hate that?
First cut your nails, remove all polish and file the top of the nail to create texture for the glue to stick.
Next size the nails by setting aside the fake nails that match your natural nail, file if necessary.
Next, add glue to fake nail and press on natural nail, hold for a minute at least. It’s as simple as that.
This is how they looked after.
Now you are ready to polish or you can leave as is. These KISS nails last a week to 2 weeks depending on how hard you are on your nails and growth rate.
