Hey y’all! I have a delicious peach cobbler recipe to share with you passed down to me from my aunt in Georgia so it’s a true southern desert created by a southern woman. I hope you will try this and let me know how you liked it.
SOUTHERN PEACH COBBLER
Ingredients;
6 to 7 medium peaches skinned and sliced or 2 cans of peaches, drained.
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1 cup of sugar
BATTER
1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar
2 tsps. Baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup of milk
1 large egg, unbeaten
DIRECTIONS:
Mix peaches in large bowl with the sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon and sit aside.
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in large bowl. Crack one egg into bowl and add the milk. Mix until smooth.
Melt unsalted butter and pour into a 9×12 pan. Then pour batter mixture into the pan. Don’t mix! After pour the peach mixture. Don’t mix. The ingredients will all come together in the pan when cooked.
Bake for 45 to 55 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. To tell when it is done, the fruit will bubble and the top will be golden brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!
I made a video where I bake this and it’s pretty funny since I lost half the footage. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for more food and fragrance videos!
